Orphan Gladis Farina works in a bakery in Ancient Rome owned by her greedy aunt and uncle, Caustica and Billius Gluttus. Gladis is well known for her delicious bakes, but along with her brother Precarious, is treated like a slave.

Can orphan Gladis escape the clutches of her miserable aunt and uncle by winning the Great Roman Bake Off and becoming the Gladisbaker?
