Garage Theatre Productions returns to the stage with another great play by Bernard Farrell. Set on Christmas Eve, it tells the story of Irene and Arthur, as they entertain an old friend Declan and his New Zealand wife Amanda. Declan and Amanda have come home on a brief visit and the encounter takes place in Irene’s father Matty’s house. Old memories are rekindled and much catching up takes place before the whole evening takes a sudden turn for the worst as Irene’s mother Gladys shows up and matters get out of hand.
This is one of Bernard Farrell’s best and definitely funniest plays and audiences are guaranteed to be entertained.
