The Weir

The Weir is set in a small rular pub into which regular customers, the pompus Jack and quiet Jim arrive. Into this weary world of Brendans Bar, local businessman Finbar pays an unexpected visit, accompanied by Valerie, an attractive city woman who has come to live in the area. Jack, Finbar and Jim each tell a ghost story designed to impress valerie with local lore and legend. With each story the presence of the supernatural becomes progressively more tangible and ominous.

This award winning play was described as "spellbinding, that  transfixes you..." This is a haunting tale, at times funny and sad, and touches the human soul.
