Kevin’s Bed is a play of nostalgia, expectations and broken dreams. The setting is the celebration of the golden wedding anniversary of Dan and Doris – a time for the mto return to their old house, join in their celebrations, contemplate a life in disarray – the Sonny and Cher days, the optimism and the expectations they had of their sons, John and Kevin.

Bernard Farrell is the master of group or family comedy situations, nearly always tempered by sadness – some darker points to counterpart the fun. ‘Kevin’s Bed’ is one of Farrell’s first plays, a worthy companion to ‘I do not like to Dr. Fell’, ‘The Apache Reunion’ and ‘Happy birthday Dear Alice’ another strong Drumlin Players production – sure to be a winner at the box-office
