Hoping to continue the success of last year’s workshops, Monaghan Academy of Performing Arts, begins its second summer of drama fun and games. Led by Krista Rushing-Hamilton, the class will work on an assortment of activities and games; all with the purpose of providing a greater understanding and appreciation of drama, communication, and language. Areas covered include concentration, memory, improvisation, voice development, mime and characterisation. These workshops are highly beneficial in helping the children to express themselves in a healthy and positive way, allowing them to learn a wide variety of techniques in communication, and instilling in them a greater sense of self-confidence and awareness. All participants must have an enthusiasm for performing and an open imagination. Workshops will be held from 10am-1pm from Monday to Friday and the week will conclude with a showcase performance for family and friends.
